EFT is based on acupuncture but no needles are involved. Instead, we stimulate the energy meridian points by gently tapping on specific points on the upper body with our fingertips and at the same time we focus on the issue to be cleared. This enables us to get quickly to the stored emotional energy behind the problem and thereby reduce or eliminate the associated behaviour or ailment. EFT is a very gentle process – it is non-invasive and clients remain fully clothed and aware of surroundings. It is different in that it does not require you to talk about things that you are uncomfortable revealing. EFT is quick has a very high success rate and has lasting benefits. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
