EFT Supervision

Mentoring - A formal process of professional support and learning which enables individual practitioners to develop knowledge and competence, assume responsibility for their own practice and enhance their effectiveness in complex clinical situations.

Practitioner development which includes mentoring following the two-day EFT Level 2 Practitioner Course and the Level 3 Advanced Practitioner Course is one of the guidelines to achieve and maintain your status as an EFT practitioner, set down by the AAMET.

AAMET Level 2 & 3 Practitioners are required to maintain their knowledge of EFT and its most recent developments by means of a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) System. CPD Units are gained by undertaking various actions seen as helping the practitioner to keep up to date and abreast of new developments. (See details in the 'Regulations' section of (www.aamet.org).

The AAMET Level 3 Attendance Certificate which was issued at the completion of a two-day Level 3 training course can only be extended to become Level 3 Practitioner Certificates after twelve months provided that the holder complies with the requirements for Continued Professional Development and Supervision.

All AAMET Level 3 practitioners are now required to gain 30 hrs of CPD points annually and also to commit to regular development and mentoring.
